Rotala ‘Bonsai’ is a compact, miniature form of Rotala, known for its short stems and dense, small leaves. It’s ideal for creating soft midground sections or low-background areas in aquascapes. With proper lighting, its foliage develops a bronze-green hue, adding depth and contrast to planted tanks.
Planting Instructions:
• Rinse the plant thoroughly to remove the tissue culture gel
• Divide into small portions using tweezers
• Plant gently into the substrate, leaving small spaces between each clump to encourage healthy, bushy growth
Care Requirements:
• Light: Medium to high – enhances coloration and upright growth
• CO₂: Recommended for optimal growth and vibrant color
• Temperature: 20–28°C (68–82°F)
• Trimming: Regular trimming promotes denser, more compact form
