Compact Foreground Plant for Aquascapes
Description:
Lobelia cardinalis ‘Mini’ is a compact, tissue-cultured variant of the classic Lobelia cardinalis, specially grown in Tropica’s sterile 1-2-Grow! system. This miniature version features bright green, rounded leaves that form dense, low bushes, making it a perfect choice for the foreground or midground in nano or large aquariums. It’s pest-free, algae-free, and safe for sensitive livestock like shrimp.
Key Features:
- Compact and bushy growth with minimal trimming
- Bright green foliage adds contrast and visual interest
- Easy to propagate by cutting and replanting
- Ideal for nano tanks and detailed layouts in larger aquariums
Optimal Conditions:
- Light: Medium to high (stronger light encourages more compact growth)

- Nutrients: Requires regular fertilization for healthy development
- Temperature: Tolerates 4°C to 30°C
- pH Range: 6.0 – 7.5
How to Plant:
