Low-Growing Foreground Plant for Natural Aquascapes
Looking for the perfect foreground plant to bring vibrant greenery to your aquarium? Cryptocoryne parva is one of the smallest and most compact species in the Cryptocoryne family. It features narrow, bright green leaves that slowly form a dense, carpet-like cover at the front of your tank, creating a natural, balanced layout.

• Slow-growing – ideal for low-maintenance layouts
• Thrives in low to medium lighting, but responds well to stronger light
• Does not require CO₂ injection, but will grow faster and more lush with it
• Suitable for nano tanks and large aquascapes alike
Planting Instructions:
- Carefully remove the plant from its cup and rinse off all the tissue culture gel with lukewarm water.
- Divide the plant into small portions using tweezers.
- Plant each portion into the foreground substrate, leaving a little space between them to allow spreading.
- Do not bury the crown of the plant to avoid root rot.
- Maintain stable water parameters and proper lighting for healthy growth.
Habitat Suitability:
This plant is excellent for freshwater aquariums, shrimp tanks, and peaceful fish communities. It can also be used in high-humidity terrariums after adaptation, but it is not ideal for arid or fully sealed terrarium environments.
