Mini is the dwarf variant of the well-recognized Alternanthyra Renecki. This plant is commonly used in Dutch waterscapes for its bright and vibrant red colors. Its micro-growth allows it to be used in both large and small aquariums as either a front, mid-earth, or rear plants. Like other stem plants, it requires medium to high light with carbon dioxide added for optimal growth. It can be planted or submerged and reaches 8 inches long.
Like any other stem plant, simply cut the torso and replant.
Notes:
Alternanthera provides great coverage for sensitive animal species and is a relatively easy option for beginners looking for colorful ornamental plants.
Do not make drastic changes to the sink. Unstable parameters will cause the aquarium plant to melt and rot.
Please be sure to remove this plant from its wrapper. Remove the foam surrounding the roots and plant them into a high-quality substrate. For instructions on how to properly prepare “cutted” ornamental plants, click here.
Injecting CO2 and high-quality ornamental soils will lead to better growth.
Please research appropriately to ensure that your plant thrives.
